An applied force is an interaction of one object on another that causes the second object to accelerate or change velocity or direction. This is seen in the lab beacuse the water is so presureized that the water and air blasts out of the rocket causeing the rocket the go that direction and accelerate. This affects the lab beacuse with out the water and air forceing out of the bottom of the rocket the rocket would not go anywhere then beacuse the water and air are forceing agianst the rocket too. Applied forces also cause the rocket too change dircetion to beacuse the air resistance acting on the fins can cause the rocket to veer off beacuse the fins are not atteached and the wind forces the rocket that way. This is ture beacuse when there was some greater wind speeds the rocket would fly backward beacuse the air acts on it also beacuse if we where to remove wind and air resistance the rockets would fly a staright course. This proves that both trajectory and applied force are both varibles in the experment that cause the rockets to move the way they
