When Robert Plant was a teenager he was obsessed with rawest blues and always wished for for the painly whiny blues voice and ended up getting something more. Robert Plant began his early life in West Bramwich, Staffordshire, England. He was born on August 20, 1948. His parents were Robert C. Plant and Annie Celia plant. On July 26, 1977 Robert Plant suddenly lost his five year old son Karac to a stomach virus which almost broke the band up completely. Plant had received the news from his wife when he was on tour that Karac was sick, days after he received a second phone call saying that Karac had died before Plant had a chance to go and see him. Plants father said in a Associated press report "Karac was the apple of Roberts eye ; they idolized each other" Plant quickly retreated home and the band had to announce that their triumphant American tour for Zeppelin was canceled. In a separate talk with Rolling Stone magazine Plant said "I lost my boy. I didn't want to be in Led Zeppelin. I wanted to be with my family." He also said "I didn't really see the need to go swinging around, 'Hey hey mama, say the way you move' didn't really have a great deal of import anymore." Plant also later claimed to quite all of his chemical habits cold turkey. "I stopped taking everything on the same day I got home." Plant added. Later on Plant decided to try again in Zeppelin and came up with the song "all of my love" in dedication of Karac and the way he had missed him.
