Who can write books with huge roadblocks in their life? Robert Louis Stevenson was able to do this and become a famous author. His struggles were illness and fighting with friends and family. Stevenson had a lot of struggles but overcame them to write fantastic books. This started in his early life.
Stevenson was born in Scotland in the year 1850 to a poor family (Britannica 1).When he was a kid, he would spend the holidays with his grandfather and ministers (Poet 1). Every winter, he was bedridden because he was prone to illness. Since he was prone to illness, that meant that he missed a lot of school.
