Getting married and staying with that person for a lifetime is possibly the most common goal in the world. But unfortunately in the United States fifty percent of marriages end in divorce. Having parents who have had a divorce, change in priorities, and financial problems are high risk factors that can lead to divorce.
One of the greatest risk factors for divorce is having parents who were divorced. People tend to take on the attitudes of their parents. If one sees his or her parent’s divorce as the only way out of a bad marriage, then that person is likely to follow in these footsteps in their own marriage. Being raised in a divorced home may have one consider divorce as the simple answer to every bad situation, whether a major situation or a little situation. While going through the process of divorce and maybe even after the divorce a person may experience depression. Going to court can be stressful. Many important questions are answered in court such as who keeps the kids, the house, and other property. Ruling not in one’s favor definitely can cause that person to become depress.ed. That person has to give up things they are used to having while they were in the marriage. Divorce can also lead to other health risks such as a raise in a blood pressure resulting from stress, not being able to sleep at night, anxiety, and even fatigue.
Divorce can be caused my many things, but some major causes of divorce are having parents who went through a divorce due to that a person may pick up the attitude that their parents had in their marriage, a change in a person’s priorities because they make become unpredictable to their significant other, and financial problems whether money is overflowing on both sides or one person has control over the money in the relationship.
