The visual results are stating that both sand dunes and riparian vegetation have a poor ecosystem. The criteria of the visual ratings are looking at the landscape features, habitat quality and all of the many disturbances. The visual ratings proved that the sand dunes and riparian have a heavily disturbed ecosystem which is coming more and more polluted with a modified landscape. Also plants like to have their pH any were between 6 and 7.5 if it below 6 it means that the soil has not as much nutrients as it needs and if it is above 7.5 that means the soil has iron, manganese, and phosphorus are less available and the blue riparian transect has a pH of 8.5 this is why plants were having a hard time to survive. There are also similar plants in the blue riparian transect such as Goats foot and salt couch. One of the main reasons why the Kathleen McArthur conservation park has a wide range of healthy plants with near to perfect soil with a large range of wild life is because it is protected by the Australian Government. The Kathleen McArthur Conservation Park has a wider variety of plants throughout the park compared to the Currumundi Lake ecosystem. Plants and flowers such as Melaleuca nodosa and Boronia attract lots of native wildlife such as the Rainbow bee-eaters.
