A non-profit hospital, also known as a not-for-profit hospital, is a hospital which is organized as a non-profit corporation. Based on their charitable purpose and frequently affiliated with religion denomination they are a traditional means of delivering medical care in the United States. Non-profit hospitals are the most common hospitals, and are focused on the care of the patient, not the payment for the care. This meaning that anyone can go to a non-profit hospital, and receive care without worry of payment. Therefore, even if a patient does not have insurance a non-profit hospital cannot turn a patient away. Even when it is time for payment, a patient does not have to pay the price in full. The hospital can help you figure out a payment plan that is suitable for you. A patient should never be scared to ask for help. Healthcare is expensive, even healthcare professionals know this. When a patient stays at the hospital their stay needs to be comfortable. The hospital can be a scary place. When patients come in they are already nervous, so the hospital is designed to be calming. The rooms are painted with calming colors, and there are either a window in the room, or there are beautiful images of the outside in the room. This also means that the patient should be able to sleep easy without having to be woken up unless it is absolutely necessary. Discharge from the hospital should also be easy for the
