“I Have a Dream” was a speech given by Martin Luther King Jr. who was an American civil rights activist. He delivered his speech at The March on Washington for Jobs and freedom on August 28th, 1963. The purpose of his speech was to end racism in the United States and called for civil and economic rights. Along with to show the mistreatment of black lives and to gain equality. He was working to convince his audience of their unequal rights, speaking out to make a change in hope he would be heard and real changes would be reevaluated in society.
