He does this by distancing himself from ‘them’, being the failed establishment. Trump brings attention to the failed establishment and Hilary Clinton is a member of this. Furthermore, he states, “poverty at home, and disaster overseas” this demonstrates the emotive language used by Trump, to persuade the audience to agree with him by engaging with their emotions.
