God gave the message to Jesus Christ, and Jesus spoke to John by means of an angel. The book of Revelation emphasizes on what God wants people to know. In fact, no person could have wisdom to these things unless granted by God. God gave this revelation to his son, Jesus Christ. Only God knows of what is to happen in the future, and He gave this knowledge to Jesus to give to John. This message demonstrates many things about Jesus Christ. His glory is revealed and he is the king of kings who will rule on earth and in heaven. However, the main purpose of this book is to reveal the truth of what is coming soon. The word ‘soon’ can imply that things will come, whether it comes quickly or with delay. The bible has already predicted events that have happened, and the book of Revelation prepares us for what has not yet started. The troubles with prophecies is that they tend to speak as if the end is ready to happen, however, it does not reveal when. Because of this, people are unaware of when these things could happen and may not be prepared. As described, the angel did not reveal these things to John in a simple way. John had to hear and see strange things as if they were dreams in order to describe it to the people.
