Once the Roman Empire fell, Italy was left without a concrete form of government and was constantly invaded. First impressions are very important in Italian Culture. Fashion and clothes have a prestigious value in Italy. Your confidence, demeanor, and style are also very important. A lot of buildings have crosses inside them and the Church has a very important status in Italian culture (Italy - Language, Culture, Customs and Etiquette).
