Schizophrena is a serious mental disorder which affects the way a person acts and how a person thinks and feels. Persons diagnosed with this disorder usually have difficulties distinguishing between what is real and what is imaginary; causing them to withdrawn or become unresponsive leading to the person’s inability to express emotions normally in social situations.
Signs of schizophrenia are different for everyone; as there are many different types of schizophrenia. It is essential to get a comprehensive medical evaluation by a mental health professional to obtain the best diagnosis. To be diagnosed with schizophrenia a person must have two or more symptoms occurring persistently in the context of reduced functioning.
