Morocco lies on the northwest corner of Africa. The country roughly covers an area twice the size of the United Kingdom. In the middle of the country are two snow capped mountain chains,the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas. South of the High Atlas Mountains lie the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Morocco generally has mild winters and hot summers.

Moroccans generally shake hands when greeting, after that the Person will touch the heart to express pleasure at seeing the other person. Children kiss the right hand or forehead of their parents or elders to show respect. Moroccans often use hand gestures and facial expressions to communicate ideas and feelings. It is impolite to point at people or to let the bottom of the foot point toward a person. Moroccans might cross the legs at the knees but would not place an ankle over a knee. People eat with the right hand only.
