As described in the Difference Between Baroque Art and Renaissance,
“This opposite treatment of a subject is displayed in the statue of David that Renaissance man Michelangelo first sculpted and recreated by Bernini of the Baroque movement. The first one shows an emotionless David heading into battle with Goliath, which is the exact opposite of Bernini’s work, which showed an intense David raring to fight the giant. This contrasting style shows the biggest disparity between these two periods.”

When comparing the two sculptures, the facial and body expression with Bernini’s David, is a more descriptive image displaying ready to fight appears in motion to make a move. As where the original David by Michelangelo, reflects a tensed image, much into thought, with muscle and vein bulging, mentally focused yet a serene piece of art that depicts a different story of David.
