Research Paper On Mentos

These days kids have a lot of things to entertain themselves. Some kids flip water bottles or do the dab or other silly activities. In the 1990’s, kids entertained themselves by combining mentos and soda. The result was a large explosion. The startling reaction between carbonated beverages and mentos made went viral in thousands of Youtube videos. The explosion can go up to about ten meters high. It was this 90’s phenomenon that lead to this research project. Topics for this essay include the ingredients for the carbonated beverages, ingredients of mentos, and the reaction of carbon when it is combined with mentos.
The background of carbonated beverages and mentos started in 1999 by Lee Marek. A lot of questions have been asked about what happens when a person eat mentos and then drink pop the answer to that is very simple; the fizz from the drink goes away as the human stomach starts to understand what is happening, then as bubbles are released your stomach expands (The history,ND). The experiment has to do with chemical and physical reactions along with carbonation and pressure.
