Houses are really expensive, so why should your yard be too? With high gardening bills that are hundreds of dollars? Most homeowners prefer a front yard and a backyard with beautiful green grass. Unfortunately, that green lawn can cost a lot of money, every year to keep it green. Homeowners who would like to save as much money as possible, should install astroturf. Astroturf can be costly when it is first installed, but astroturf lasts for around 15 years or more. It is well-crafted, saves gardening fees, and makes the environment a healthier and cleaner place! Say goodbye to those lawn mowers that release pollution into the air, charge gardening bills, and cause hours of hard work! Say hello to saving money with a new, green, environmental …show more content…
It also saves you time immediately, for not having to care for a real lawn. Instead of spending hours every weekend to water the lawn, you can now spend those hours doing other activities that you need to attend. Imagine not having to spend money on tools, soil, water or special treatment to take care of those dead blades of grass. Those costs can add up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars yearly depending on how big your lawn is. The Southern Nevada Water Authority says a homeowner saves 55 gallons of water per year for every square foot of natural grass replaced with synthetic. Some water companies in drought-prone areas will offer a cash rebate for artificial grass, up to $1 per square foot. ‘An average home that converts to artificial grass saves about 22,000 gallons of water a year.’ Astroturf does not require any watering, therefore you conserve water, and save money on your water bill. ‘The California drought has moved the government to put out several PSA’s encouraging the limit of grass and plant watering.’ Astroturf can cost a lot of money for covering a front or back lawn. When comparing astroturf to grass, just think that when you get astroturf, you pay for it and then you don’t have to give it any special care after it is installed. While grass, ‘requires ongoing maintenance expenses for mowing, insect control and irrigation.’ Astroturf is not cheap, but you don’t ‘have to mow, water, reseed, or fertilize’ it for ’eight years.’ Watering grass is expensive if you are in a drought. You have to remember that ‘summer bills are higher than winter bills.’, because the grass needs more water to keep it alive, so it won’t die. If you have astroturf, it will be cheaper, and look better than having dead grass in the summer, because you can’t pay for your water

I expect that Bernie Sanders will win. He is very intelligent and has an amazing view. I think Clinton will mostly agree with Bernie Sanders with their common views, but she is pretty corrupt. I don’t really know the other candidates who are running but they didn’t really stand out to me like Sanders did. I heard a lot of people liked him so I researched him a bit and started to like him as well.…

Next year promises to bring us one of the most polarizing and ideologically charged presidential elections in recent memory. The first decade and a half of the 21st century has witnessed momentous changes in the American political landscape from threats of foreign and domestic terrorism to a resurgence of philosophies once thought to be extinct from the public consciousness. During this pivotal moment in our history however, many Americans are losing faith in either party’s ability to cater to their needs which has in turn created a set of circumstances under which people with more radical ideas have at last enter the national spotlight. One such person is a self-proclaimed socialist caucusing with the Democrats named Bernie Sanders who has…

Radical Republicans thought that blacks should have the same rights and opportunities as whites. They were only unified because of their same goal to help African Americans. To help reshape those liberties, they first wanted to punish the confederate leaders for their part in the civil war. Since the confederate leaders wanted slavery to stay, it would be revenge for those who had to work for them all those years. The Radical Republicans most important attempt to reshape civil liberties for free blacks was in the Reconstruction Acts.…

The End of Bernie Sanders and His Fake Political Revolution At last, the long national nightmare of the Democratic Party’s Presidential Primary race is over. Senator Bernie Sanders, who arguably ran a spirited campaign albeit, a disingenuous, demagogic and unrealistic one, (though he has yet to formally concede defeat) has finally acknowledged that his path to the nomination is all but over. As a liberal, I know this is a provocative piece and one that is bound to be unpopular among young progressives. Also, given the full-scale efforts with which the Democratic “establishment” are courting Senator Sanders, treating him with kid gloves and twisting themselves into pretzels in the hope that he will quietly go away, I am certain this article…

Many non-liberal arts universities only offer your basics then your straight into your major specific classes. One thing I believe is the best thing about getting a liberal arts education is you have to take a little bit of every subject.…

Disenfranchisement is defined as White southern Democrats devising a variety of techniques in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century’s to prevent Black people from voting. Those techniques included literacy tests, poll taxes, and the grandfather clause as well as intimidation and violence. The definition of disenfranchisement is located in Chapter 14 on page 295. Disenfranchisement in America today correlates where voting is one of the most fundamental rights for every American citizen, however; more than 100,000 people in New York State who are on parole can’t vote due to felony convictions. Rise up The acts of civil disobedience has helped changed the law regarding “minorities”. The practice of civil disobedience has helped improve laws to make them fair to all, this is due to it being started by “the people” who feel that the current laws in place, put in by the government or those in power are wrong, misconstructed as well as out of line, and must be changed. John Locke believed that the law was a reflection of the people, and that the government must insure life, liberty and property to all persons. Throughout history the law did not change the people but the people the law, due to the law itself being a reflection of the morals and values held by the people at that time, through The Famous 5, who for the right of women to be…
