Animals are not seen as individual, living beings with unique physical and psychological needs but seen as eggs,milk,meat, leather,fur, etc. Farm animals are not raised as the healthy, normal animals they should be. They are given antibiotics to make them grow bigger and faster. These animals and thousands are crammed into small spaces where they aren't able to move or be comfortable. They won't be able to raise their families, root around the soil, build nests, or do anything natural and important to them. Workers are in a rush to stay on schedule and kill such a large number of animals in such a short period of time, the animals are often treated cruelly. To adapt themselves to life at the slaughterhouse, workers must become less sensitive to the animals' suffering and think of these sentient creatures as mere objects, which causes inhumane treatment. Although cattle are supposed to be rendered unconscious before being killed, workers frequently do not successfully "stun" the animals. As a result, conscious, struggling cows are hung upside down. Their throats are then cut. I believe that the killing of cows should change because they seem to suffer so much as how they are treated and when they aren't stun correctly.
