How LeBron James has Effected Society?
The focus of my research paper will be on the overall impact LeBron James has had on society and the NBA.
• What methods will I use to answer these questions? I will research using credible sources and scholarly articles from the KU libraries.
• Why is it important to do research on this topic? For years now, LeBron’s dedication and contributions outside of the NBA has been overshadowing due to his amazing athletic abilities.
• What conclusions can be drawn? That he is more than just a NBA basketball player. LeBron has been a positive impact in the African American community. He is one of the most powerful, talented, and influential athletes of our generation.

LeBron James is known as a modern-athlete activist, he has never been shy to express his thoughts on social issues. In 2012, him and his former teams at the Heat where seen wearing hooded sweatshirts, in the honor of Trayvon Martin. In 2014, he spoke out against former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling after he was caught on tape making a series of racist comments. In December of 2014, LeBron and other teammates wore shirts that stated, “I can’t Breathe” to honor the death of Eric Garner.

• How has LeBron James effected the NBA? LeBron James has been to the NBA finals eight times in a row. He is arguably one of the most dominated superstars of our generation, and is one of the greatest and gifted athletes to ever live. He has redefined the word: athleticism. His athleticism has changed the idea of playing one dominant position. He is the only player in the NBA to average a triple double in the NBA finals.

I will conclude with all my main points and then answer the significant question, whether he has been a positive or negative
