Sunday, December 7, 1941, at 7:55 A.M. the Pearl Harbor bombing started in Oahu, an island in Hawaii, also known as Pearl Harbor. The bombing started at 7:55 A.M. and ended at 9:45 A.M. Many of the men were still in their pajamas, some were still eating breakfast. The battle took place for two hours. The Japanese attacked in two waves that consisted of three hundred fifty-three planes. The waves were approximately forty - five minutes apart, that the Japanese launched. 7:55 A.M. the first wave of planes struck, the second wave of planes hit about 8:40 A.M.
