Religion Intake Essay Peace is the democracy of people coming into complete agreement with one another. There are many different people and differences of opinion in the world. Not everyone will have the same opinion and thus leads to major conflicts of war and in the ability to govern in politics and the well-being of all people. There is no common accepted opinion on wealth, humanity, and foreign affairs for most people. There must always be balance in life and maintaining what is fair to one another. Justice is associated with law and moral law. Justice may bring peace to an individual yet violate the religious law while accepting the man-made law. Justice may be under law to arrest a murderer and bring peace to a scared community. Justice satisfies man-made law of arresting a murderer, but it is also the idea of justice that may convict this murderer to death row, forcing and executioner of the state of committing a sin; thou shall not kill. There must be two different types of justice; social justice and moral justice. Justice means different things when applied to politics, economy, and morality in society. Justice should promote humanity as a whole to create better social and moral good. Contrary, justice is what separates people of different moral character. Justice separate what people should consider a good or bad deed, right or wrong behavior, ethics and logic. Justice must regulate the nature of human beings with government bodies helping its’ people. In the Christian religion, people are taught that we are all created equal. It is when people feel different than others of their kind, that these people resist the other and turn to injustices of society, (Brettman, 203). Justice in a Christian religion point of view is to find the true worth to better morality. In the article “Politics and society in Northern Ireland over half a century (sic)” by Manchester University Press, it discusses how the Protestant religion clashes with the Catholic religion. This issue is not between the two religions co-existing in Northern Ireland but rather support for the particular ethnic group of Irish people. There is competition between the two religions of who is superior in Northern Ireland, of which both opposing churches agree to. The religions are just identities to the social and political issues that conflict one another that are associated with the two religions. Religion and lack of peace further stir conflict, preventing the community to form as a whole. The conflict of peace between these two religions is a clash in ethnic identity. Not only do these religions and religious identities disturb peace between one another, they also cause further conflict to the other through politics and military force, (Hayes, 25). A suggested solution to the dispute between the Protestant and Catholic religions in Northern Ireland between who is superior is to find a way for both religions to co-exist. Easier said than done, if this solution does not happen soon, either the little peace the Protestants and Catholics have between one another will dissolve and major conflict will arise.
