It was on first day of February where I had to present my first skill test about Personal Protective Equipment in the lab. And it was first mistake I realize that I had huge mistake while doffing the required steps and completely forgot about sanitation of my hands for 15 seconds. Before even doing the test, I was so nervous while my instructor Professor Mark called me and my mind went completely blank. I was learning of how to position the bed and do bedmaking with my classmate, What I can only remember that lab technologist had really help us in learning the skill. In my opinion, what bothers me in experience while I was doing IPAC modules on Public Health Ontario website is importance of hand hygiene and how it plays a role in breaking down the transmission of infectious diseases. According to Public Health Ontario, it states that “Routine Practices are infections prevention and control that must be used routinely during all activities to help the control the spread of health care settings” (Public Health Ontario, 2017). What is not feeling right according to this rewarding experience is not using the importance of critical thinking skills of handling new approaches in clinical setting. For example: According to LeFevre (2017) , Its states that “ critical thinking involves of knowing how to learn, reason, think creatively, generate and evaluate the ideas see mind’s eye and solve problems” ( Critical Thinking, Clinical Reasoning and Clinical Judgment, 2017, p.6).
