The Kane Family Foundation’s mission is to provide educational assistance to aid in gaining the very independence I strive to obtain. As cliché as it may sound, all of my dreams have come true. I am fortunate to be married to a real life prince charming that would go to the ends of the earth for me. As if having a remarkable husband isn’t enough, I thank my lucky stars for our healthy and outgoing 2-year-old, Noah, who I always longed for. Being a mother is truly the ultimate reward and dream come true. While I feel content with my life today, there are valuable accomplishments that I have yet to achieve, and family makes it that much more significant.

Therefore, obtaining an education seemed out of reach, and a privilege for the elite. Looking back, it is hard to believe I did not feel worthy or deserving. However, the enlightening experience of climbing the corporate ladder provided the confidence, and of course, the monetary sustenance throughout my husband’s graduate school. During this persevering time, I learned the importance of effectively managing personal finances, and learned, first hand, the value of a dollar.
I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life. It is with such honor to support and witness my husband’s dreams, and dedication to his profession, but I, too, look forward to accomplishing my educational ambitions. Within a year, I look forward to completing my bachelor’s degree in business at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and ultimately an MBA. The ultimate objective is to employ my acquired education, along with my management background, to become a successful entrepreneur.
