The Army has had a very strong and bold image for years and it continues to build upon that image every day. Every time someone joins the army, it becomes a bigger and more powerful force in the world. Also the more it is capable to protect the people that can protect themselves. The Army’s official birthday is June 14, 1775(http://www.goarmy.com/about/what-is-the-army/history.html). This means that the Army has been protecting the United States for about 240 years. It has held a strong force in every major conflict the U.S has been a part of. These conflicts are world war one and two, Vietnam, and the Middle East

You will also learn how the army values will shape you as a soldier. Then in the second week you will learn about loyalty and the importance of working as a unit not an individual. Week three is Duty week and it will teach you to use sheer determination to get you through the physical and mental challenges of combat scenarios. They will teach you these things by real life and also classroom scenarios. The army teaches every thing you will need to know in the classroom or a real life-training mission. Phase two is weeks four through six, week four is respect week. It will show you how to respect your fellow soldiers and your accomplishments as a team. Week five is selfless service, this week is all about giving all you got to the other soldiers that are with you right then and there and to the men that have served before you. Week nine is known to be the hardest to some people because it is the honor week. Once you do decide to retire you will be able to draw your penton. A penton is like a pay check that comes at the beginning of every month. Once you have decided that you don’t want to be in the army anymore. Then you will be prosed out. You must do all the paper work so that way the federal government can exempt you from the draft if there was ever one, also so you can be in-active reserve. In- active reserve is when you are at home like a normal civilian but you can also be called back to service if the army was in dire need of soldiers. When you are being prosed out you get put on light duty, and you have to sign a lot of legal paperwork. This paper work will say that you are no longer enlisted in the United Stats Army. Once you get out and you want to finally get your college degree then you can use your GI bill. This is where the army will actually pay for your college tuition. This will help you because you put all this time in serving your country and then will reward you with free education. They do this so it is easier to find a job in the civilian world. If you decide while you are still in to get a degree online while still in the army then that will help you get promoted. This in turn will get you more money and also give you more
