Integrity is definitely an important value that one has to practice their lives. If you are someone who always speaks nothing but the truth, of course others would be more likely to believe and have great trust in you. It is necessary to tell the truth no matter whatever the consequences you may face. The consequences may affect you negatively, then you would have to be fully responsible for it. I remember it vividly, my experience, when I had to make my decision on whether to tell the truth or shamelessly lie through my teeth.
It was a tiring day at school and as soon as I got home, I headed straight for my room, determined to get my homework done and spend my free time watching the television for the rest of the day. After I had completed all of the worksheets, I crossed out all of them from my to-do list. Four completed, one left to go. It was the online Additional Mathematics quiz that my Mathematics teacher had assigned for me to complete. I let out a dispirited sigh as I flipped close my to-do list as I knew this last task would not be so easy. I was even contemplating if I should just randomly key in the multiple choice questions.
As I tried switching on my laptop, I realised that it needed to be charged. I

My brother would always put gaming as his priorities. Of course, he would switch his laptop on as soon as he got home. I observed him using my peripheral vision in order to avoid eye contact with him. He started accusing my younger brother as the latter had always intruded our rooms and just do his part of ‘cleaning’. That started guilt tripping me and I was on the verge of telling the truth. Finally, I did tell the truth since lying went against my conscience and my older brother gave me his deadly stare. I gulped. Eventually, I got a lot of scolding, nagging and more from both of my parents and my brother himself. I had to use my own savings to pay for a new laptop for him and that had definitely made him on cloud
