My Behavioral Change Essay

After completing only five days of this behavioral change, I have come to several conclusions in regards to this challenge. From the very start of this change, I experienced struggles that left me immersing in the belief of whether or not I could go through with it. Like others who also go down this path of losing weight, I started off strong with a pithy mindset to shed off ten pounds. Along with the support of my mother who forged a path for me by contributing to my change, purchasing different kinds of healthy ingredients and learning new recipes. She ultimately, lead me on a path of success, however, my contribution along with the lack of support by friends leads to the downfall of this diet. I break down what generally happened during my time dieting was I went strong the first three days but then I caved in and beyond that it was history. During my diet the day I caved in and ate out the rest of the behavioral change started to fall apart. I told myself that I ruined my diet and there was no point to continue on. This thought process that I experienced in turn not only failed my diet but also made me gain more weight that I originally was. I had this idea that if I get knocked down there is no recovering from that. After that day that I caved in, I went out to eat almost every day completely disregarding my diet plan. If only I told myself that people make mistakes, that if I ate like crazy one day I could recover from that and not just fall off the wagon. However, what if the person I went out with is helping me with my diet and gives me a second opinion on whether or I should order that cheesecake or order French fries instead of a salad. Lastly, I may have to invest into getting a calorie tracker app on my phone. By constantly monitoring how much I eat in a day I could keep a close eye on whether or not I’m over eating or not. Furthermore, I find in help in situations where I may not know how many calories are in a center item so with the use of this app I have the power to find the exact number of fats, sugars, carbs and all other nutritional facts that are commonly food on the labels. With the upgrade 2.0 diets plan that I have made I feel that I could succeed in losing the weight, I desire and achieving great
