To Establish Posive and Producve Relaonships with FamiliesBy: Autumn CooleyIn my classroom there is always open communicaon between the parent’s and I. I am also open about how the child has done that day and when answering any quesons the parents may have for me. I am honest and respec%ul to all parents and the situaons the children and family are going through. I also encourage their involvement asking them to come in and help in the classroom as well as helping to plan acvies for nights such as family night and family programs. No parent is ever told they cannot come into my classroom and observe or sit with their child to play. I also make sure there are plenty of family pictures in the room so all children feel safe and secure as well as knowing the parents by name and asking …show more content…
I also make sure to verbally communicate important dates and mes to parents in case they do not get a chance to read the newsle(er. I always encourage parents to talk to me and express what is happening at home or in their life so I know when a child misbehaves of is having a hard me that they are not doing it for no reason and this will help me be(er understand how to help the child get through this rough me. The informaon parents give me about what is happening at home and in their life will change my teaching pracce because I will make sure to plan more books or acvies that will be(er help the child cope with what is going on as well as being able to be there for the child more so they do not feel alone. I was shocked at the responses and how much respect and care parents have for me as well as how they view me. I do my job the very best I can but nobody is perfect and I am glad to see that the parents see how hard I am working to keep their children safe and secure along with teaching them and interacng with them in a kind and posive
