Then I applied my new knowledge of rhetorical situations with an example from my work on my short essay. For example, in my first paper when I was explaining how there was a rhetorical situation in my short story that I wrote in my freshmen year of high school I first provided a direct quote of rhetorical situations. Then I provided background knowledge explaining how I used two messages in my story for two different audiences to get my point across in the story. You have your audience; these are the people that you are focusing on throughout your paper trying to grab there attention. In my second paper I tried to include this concept a lot. I did this by making sure that my paper could grab any ones attention unlke my first paper when I just focused on what you as my teacher wanted. An example of this is my conclusions on both of my papers. My first paper I found it challenging coming up with a conclusion so in result of this I had a closed ended conclusion only focusing on what you my teacher wanted from the previous questions that you had wrote in our rubric.
