I believe that everything around us constitutes an environment. Therefore, to maintain a healthy environment is to improve the quality of life.
The goal of Healthy People 2020 is to promote health through a healthy environment. A clean and healthy environment provides a place that is free from disease, injury, and environmental hazards (Healthy People.gov [Healthy People], n.d.).
