Reflection Paper On Obese

I was very surprise that being obese could put you at risk for cardiovascular disease, kidney failure, fatty liver or failure and etc. I thought that being overweight mean just the body mass and fat, but hearing about the consequences of it, this is very scary. In comparison to other disease or behavior, this can be change, but it will be very hard for individual to do so. This is because the main cause of this is not mainly the people, but the environmental that we live compose of this behavior and allow people access to this at a cheaper price than healthy food. I think for this to work, it important that the individua’s family and friend participle and encourage the behavior change because if this effect that individual, it would likely be affect the people around he or she. This movie has something to do with the social/behavior learning theories because the problem this movie address is obese and obese is a risk behavior. This is similar to like smoking that changing the behavior is hard and it take a lot of time to be motivate and consider change the individual behavior. There are so many health problem relative to obesity that it can reduce individual life expectancy by about 10 years. Another thing is the Heart Study that is done in Bogalusa. This created a social support and social interactions to people about obesity and with the data that is done on this community like the following checkup helps regulate the patients that has obesity, debatei, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular problem.
