Even though, I have seen many of the concepts and theories that were taught throughout this last year. I truly did not understand the meanings and the thought process behind it- only that I knew I was placed in a position that had to lead people to reach an endpoint. I was not one who was just trying to fill a position of authority and telling people; I was in charge by being the most experienced, or the most senior person in the group. How to deal with change and the effect it can have on individual’s behavior. Many times leaders’ assumption is that those individual working for them will take to the change and not ask any questions as to why the change is happening. Alternatively, because I am the person in charge other will just do as told and not question me. “The people at the top decide what’s best and introduce new ways of doing things” (Jackson, 2006, p. 2).
Motivation to learn and Change: when people know the reason as to why the change is happening the chances are they will be motivated, especially if these changes can lead to a better economic status.
The change process model as it deals with frozen, unfreezing, change, and refreezing process.
