When we are asked to reflect often times this begs us to look at our past, to place a valuation on our growth and to measure our present. This makes us take a step back from what is going on around us and evaluate who we were, who we hoped to become and who we are/who we became. One of the more difficult to place the spotlight on ourselves, to turn the mirror on our own reflection and to point the finger at ourselves to say, what have you done to better yourself or to make a difference in this world. Sometimes that difference is in something huge and life changing and other times that marker is small and insignificant to all but yourself. In either case, as long as there was some growth or an inkling of a realization of change, you made a difference.

We want to surround ourselves with joy and what will push us to achieve and be successful. This was partially my reason for pushing myself to join an English 1010 Honors course, as opposed to just the English 1010 course. For a very long time, I allowed myself to live within my own comfort zone because it was easier this way. I tested high, but aimed low, because I knew that as long as I stayed in the median then I could excel within that scope and not challenge myself. Not realizing it, I prevented my own growth. I had to find my own niche and sometimes it changes with growth. The point is to find what fits into my dreams and make sure that I set the path towards ensuring those dreams are fulfilled. If you are unsatisfied with your life then you are going to drag yourself through the mud, more than a few times. We had to let fear release from our lives and give myself and my family permission to start over, to reassess, and to reestablish and the confidence to know that everything would be okay. I did not take the time to develop a buddy system or support group of like-minded individuals, not until it was almost too late and I lost myself in the muddle. There is no reason why anyone should have to go through it alone, because many times once we get inside our own heads, we are our own
