Assessment is the one of tool used by teachers as an act of gathering information and basics of the lesson to done to understand the learner’s progress and needs for improvements. The core duties of teacher in the classroom are to plan, prepare and to evaluate learners progress performed both inside and outside the formal school day. Assessment occurs following a lesson’s topic or a theme to give opportunities to show what learners know and what they can do. Here learners will level their errors and correct their mistake and be involved in their own learning process. Student will become confident in what they do. Giving feedback to learners adjusts teachers teaching and learners learning strategies. Sufficient time should be given to the learners to complete their work for better marks. Allowing learners to sit in groups for discussion can help learners to tackle appropriate way of completing their activities through practical skills and give feedback to the class can improve their learning communication skills. In my own classroom, I will engage learners with different learning styles for them to interpret the importance of learning goals. Provide feedback early and often Feedback is the breakfast of champions which enhance learning. Learners need to be given assessment feedback early soon after the task. Learners with learning problem will require me as a teacher to direct intervention and support in learners learning. Sufficient supportive materials need to be made available for better and clear understanding for teaching to be effective. As a teacher, I will allow new evidence of achievement to replace old evidence. If students fail for the first time, teacher need provide them with multiple chances to improve their participations. Student may not do well on their first attempt because they were not motivated, well guided or did not receive effective teaching.
