Here in the U.S it is possible to live as a single parent with kids and it is becoming more acceptable. It isn’t as hard to live as a single parent because the government is able to help you get on your feet. These boys didn’t have a father and he is supposed to be the one to support the family, but since he passed away the oldest male in the family has to step up and in this case it just happened to be a fourteen and twelve year old. While watching this I realized that we don’t all have the same opportunities and we all have different views about what is right and wrong. These children don’t see anything wrong with working in the mines because that is considered normal in their culture. It is also the way they have grown up, so it isn’t surprising to them. It is how they perceive people and the world around them. While I do feel bad for the young children working and the conditions they are being put in, they don’t feel bad about it because there is nothing wrong with it in their
