Lincoln’s life through his anecdotes and his leadership style that no other leaders have been able to match. Lincoln was a leader when the country needed him the most. It was a time when the country was being separated over ideas. Had it not been for Lincoln, the country would be much different today. This essay will look at Lincoln’s leadership principles and will relate them to leaders I have experienced in my career. Additionally, I will look at three of Lincoln’s stories and relate them to an experience I had in my career.

Whether or not one agrees with the way things were handled there was justice, it is simply ridiculous to say that all police officers are crooked or that they aim to kill young black men. The reality is that the amount of force use by the police is very minimal. During his time in office, Lincoln too was the target of a great deal of unjust criticism. Lincoln did not allow this to get in his way of saving the country. Lincoln would avoid reading anything that was an overt attack against him because he knew he could not give the attacker the answer he wanted. Lincoln knew by avoiding these things he would not get provoked and ultimately consumed by the
