Self Reflection On Group Activities And Team Project Students

group activities and team projects students can have self-reflection on how well they put input into the work. Teachers can also reflect of what works with groups and what kind of roles the students excel at. I also learned and will implement team project processing forms. The forms are filled out by each team member and they determine how well they and their team worked together. It can also have the students come up with ways that the team can work better next time. It allows each student to reflect on their achievement and the achievement of their team.
There are also alternative assessment activities and strategies that keep the students more engaged. Before you have the students do an activity first come up with the goal or standard you want them to hit then come up with a creative assessment. An example of this is if you want them to tell you a biography of an historical person, then the students could make an obituary of that person or a Facebook page. The Facebook page could include where they’re from, their age, family members, events in their lives and what pictures they thought they would post. If you

There many types of graphic organizers. There’s a sandwich chart, were the topic is written on the top bun and details are the middle and bottom bun is the conclusion sentence. There is also a clock were you write details in time order. There is also a web, which I used to write this paper. I start with the main topic in the middle then web out of the supporting details. The web can go farther with bubbles coming off the supporting details of examples of that detail. There is also an ice cream cone graphic organizer with topic as cone and details as scoops going up. For the younger students I plan on using the sense chart. Put a topic on top and have student describe topic by their sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. An understanding of math vocabulary is important to the students’ ability to understand and solve math problems. “Graphic organizers allow for student involvement in the learning process that is more personalized and less abstract, therefore the role of the ELs can change from merely the receiver of concepts and information to the creator of visual organizer representing their own thinking process” (Mohammad & Laleh, 2012, p. 1115-1116). In order to support a students’ understanding of math vocabulary, using a graphic organizer provides the opportunity for…

Using the graphic organizer is new, and more appealing to me than using the outline method. It can give me more insight and details of other points in the graphic organizer. Using the outline, I was consistent with the organization of topics, using the “most to least” of the significant topics in the organization method frequently. While topics were sometimes similar, they ended up migrating to other paragraphs in my unsuccessful trials of using the outline. I’ve learned how to set a thesis and tone in the introduction of an essay to help engage, illustrate, and set a mood for the audience.…

As I reflect on my internship I realize it actually started during the summer, my principal asked that I be involved in the Summer Leadership meetings. The school representatives for these meetings were the principal who is a first-year principal with a high school background, the assistant principal who is a first-year administrator and another assistant principal who has spend most of his time in high school, the multi-tiered system of support coach, who is also new to the school and me. This combination was very interesting because I was the only one who had any experience at the school. This combination of administrators has made my internship a bit difficult, simply because they are learning their own roles and responsibilities, so it makes it difficult for them to assign me any of those roles and responsibilities. I have often felt as they feel I am…

Each of the four students will be assigned to become an expert in one of the four graphic organizer topics, and they will use the book as a resource to complete the box. I will go from group to group asking guiding questions, answering questions, and helping struggling students; students may help others in their pods as well.…

Introduction I currently work as a self-harm practitioner in a multidisciplinary community team which provides treatment for people who self-harm and have diagnoses of personality disorder. In my current role I have opportunities to work therapeutically with patients both on an individual basis and in groups. I enjoy being part of this multidisciplinary team and participating in the experiential group. Coupled with knowledge of theoretical concepts and frameworks I feel that this has greatly increased my understanding of what it is to be a member of a work group. In groups we have to be aware of other people, we have to compromise and abandon our own egocentric needs in order to maintain our place in the group, but at the same time group membership…

At the beginning of the semester, we were assigned a team project. At first, the assignment sounded difficult to me because it was just at the beginning of the semester and I did not know my classmates or the team members assigned to my group. With the help of the teachers I was able to meet and get to know my team members by their names, we exchanged our phone numbers and email address to ease communication. In our first meeting, we were able to select the team leader, come up with the rules to govern the team and also plan the times we were going to be holding the team meeting every week. In our second session, we were able to come up with the project, discuss the project then divided and allotted tasks to each member.…

Reflection Paper II Throughout my college experience here in the Carroll School of Management, group work and the ability to work well with others has been emphasized greatly. This makes sense, because in a professional environment, the ability to communicate, listen and contribute within a group leads to success and the achievement of goals. However, none have gone on as long as this project, making it a more realistic example of working on a team. Junior year of college is definitely a crazy time, as we are forced to balance heavy workloads with extracurriculars and recruiting.…
