Red Maple
The acer rubrum L., also known as the red maple, is an wide ranging ranging native tree that is very well adapted to the most soil and site conditions. This species if tree is one of the trees that in fall as it turns its color. The fiery colors of fall are typically a brilliant red. it is also one of the earliest flowering trees in the spring. Red maple has the smallest winged seeds, of all native maples,they are about 5/8-3/4 inches long.

Red maples are used mostly for landscaping, people find this tree in the fall to really brighten up their land. Red maple seeds provide food for squirrels and some birds. The wood is not desirable for lumber or veneer. This species of der is not preferred as a food source. Red maple tree
