I have never written for entertainment as I have always seen writing as work given to me in school. For this reason, I have never had the same love for writing as I have for reading. The task of writing began to become more difficult as the school years went on, as the prompts began to deviate from fiction themed and requirements to get a good grade grew stricter. I feel impartial to writing as on occasion I like to write if the essay prompt is interesting and I have an ample amount of time to complete it, while I can also dislike to write if the circumstances are flipped. Reading can provide me with entertainment and increase my knowledge on various topics. On the other hand, I do not enjoy writing as much and feel it is more of a task that I need to complete. Boths of these activities are vital to my success in our educational system. As such, I look forward to learning how read and write in a more advanced fashion as I take the AP English Language course. I have seen a growth in my reading and writing ability in the past two years as a result of taking Pre-English classes. I anticipate that this class will be challenging but also rewarding. I expect that AP English Language will add to what I have already learned and teach me new information which will come together to make me an overall better reader and
