In the text titled, “Reasons for the Fall of the Roman Empire”, the fall of Rome was caused by bad leadership, too much government spending and health and safety issues. If the United States were to face these issues it would fall. First, according to the article one reason for the fall of Rome is the effects of lead poisoning, the article states “Romans consumed dangerous amounts of lead...lead poisoning can lead to serious health issues such as memory loss, numbness in arms and legs, and even vision and hearing loss.” In america today some cities like Flint, Michigan have an unhealthy amount of lead in their water.
