It is important for you as a reader to develop a context for difficult will text before and during reading because it could benefit you further into the reading my understanding that the text and passage better. Context is a learning a before reading the text or book, for example, when I Read Of Mice and Men in my English 9 class we develop context before we read the book as a class. our teacher asked dates and which what happened during that time, of mice and men, take place during the Great Depression We also jotted down other things that were happening at that time, such as the Dust Bowl. for example, a toyota commercial uses a young kid dressed up as Darth Vader from Star Wars to show that their car can be powerful and strong just like Darth Vader! Or another example would be the Honda Odyssey, this could show that the minivan can take you on many different Adventures. Because truthfully that is what an odyssey is! an epic adventure! now, most of the time the speaker does not point out the allusion the reader or the person singing this for themselves will have to figure that out. like in a book the main character will probably not show allusions but it is up for the reader to understand them. staying on the topic of someone reading a book we could look at the principle of dramatic irony. this is also another big part of context because you as their leader may know things that the main character does not. we see this and a lot of horror movies and horror books. you as the reader may know that the Killer is right behind the main character, but that the main character doesn't know that. that would be an example of dramatic irony. dramatic irony can also change The main character's attitude on a situation. that would be tone! Also When developing context, motive can be seen. or example back to the horror books dramatic irony is seen also
