After the fits Macbeth had gone through over the heinous acts he committed in an attempt to change the prophecies the witches gave him, he still searched the witches out again and it is here that Macbeth had sealed his fate. Already insane and power crazy over the first prophecies, Macbeth finds the witches and demands more prophecies from the spirits the witches speak to, he finds them and says "how now, you secret, black and midnight hags! What is't you do?" (4.1.48-49) the witches abide to Macbeth's wishes and call toward the spirits who relay prophecies to Macbeth shown when they each list off a prophecy saying; “Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Beware Macduff; Beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me: enough.” (4.1.78-79), “Be Bloody, bold, and resolute; laugh to scorn the power of man, for none of woman born shall harm Macbeth.” (4.1.86-88), and “Be lion-mettled, proud, and take no care who chafes, who frets, or where conspires are: Macbeth shall never vanquish’d be until Great Birnam wood to high Dunsinane hill shall come against him.” (4.1.99-103). These prophecies generally summarize to warn Macbeth that macduff will kill him but the prophecies in specific drive Macbeth even more over the edge. The prophecies seem impossible and cause Macbeth not to worry due to that fact. Macbeth knows that every child is born of a woman as well as that trees cannot move up a hill. None the less, Macbeth still has macduff's entire family murdered although macduff himself is not there. As events unfold Macbeth becomes worrisome when it is reported that the trees are moving up the hill but continues to feel safe because of the prophecy saying someone born of a woman wouldn't kill him. When macduff comes and bears the news that he was in fact ripped from his mother's womb, therefore not born in a traditional way,
