Well let me tell you I know off the top of my head but I will just explain Robert Williams to you. He painted allot and not many people knew that, and they just thought he was a normal guy. He was the guy who painted “Hot Rod Race” and “Appetite For Destruction”. The first true rat rod was built by Robert Williams and it was...Eights and Aces. Eights and Aces was a 1932 ford car it was painted with red primer. It had allot of work done to it and he decided to leave the 1932 Ford fenders on so it would still give that mean and stylish look. When he took the car to a car show in southern California. An editor for a magazine seen the car and he seen the owner with the car and asked what it was called and he said Eights and aces. There is the stylish 1953 chevy truck with the curved fenders and the steep sided bed. Man, you gotta love it. Then you gotta love the 1954 chevy truck, most people will take this truck and lower a tonne of it like a 6” lower left and put a very expensive motor then they will take almost all the rust off and call it a rat rod. I get really mad when they do that and call them rat rods when they are not, but enough about me and now the paper they put diesel and sometimes boat motors and with side fender exists known as bullhorns they will definitely fly down the road.
