Rapture Research Paper

The “open door” in Revelation 4:1, I believe is symbolic to the time of evacuation of the Church before Tribulation. It; it is the door to heaven. I believe in a “rapture” or “translation” of the believer before the tribulation. Jesus will come down from heaven and call up the church. He will then return to His Father’s house, heaven. According to scripture, the rapture will take place prior to the tribulation period, although, the term rapture is not used in scriptural proof. Rapture is the state or experience of being carried away. There are many views in reference to the rapture. The Rapture is based on Pre- Tribulation, Mid- Tribulation, Pre- wrath, and Post- tribulation. Pre-Tribulation views that the rapture of the church, the coming of the Lord in the air for His saints, will take place before the seven year of Tribulation begins. John 14: 1-3 speaks on Jesus himself promising that He will soon come back for us; He has gone to prepare a place for His people. This reflects on the second coming of Jesus; the rapture. Romans 5:9 is proof that God’s people will be saved from the judgement of God’s wrath. Philippians 3:20-22 tells us that we are awaiting the coming of the Lord and He will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body. Colossians 3:4 tells us that we will appear with Christ in Glory. 2 Thessalonians 2:1, Paul in this text is informing the Thessalonians of things in concern of the Lord’s coming, such as things that will happen and why they will and need to happen.
