after seeing his grandfather in his dream, and teeling him to read anote that says ‘“to whom it may concern, keep this nigger-boy running”’(Ellison). the narrator knew after hearing these words that he did not achieve his goal, but it was fun for others to see him like that. he realized that the world he lives in does not have rights for humans like him, and they will continue to be treated like that.
