The duties required are not extensive, but the duties play a big role in the job. Going over medical history and making sure that all the history matches up takes time. If the patient’s medical history does not match up then the Radiologic Technologist must go in and add it to the history, so the doctor knows what type of medical issues the patient has had. Making sure the machine functions right means starting up in the morning and running practice runs. Having practice runs eliminates errors and shows how well the machine works. If the machine breaks, the radiologic technologist will be asked to try and fix the problem that occurs. Every machine has a certain way of working and has problems that may occur everyday.
