In Mississippi, which holds many white and also African American people are still facing issues of racial discrimination and social injustice. The Help which was directed by Tate Taylor as well, shows the strength these women had to have to do their job everyday. These African American women not only had to clean the house, but also take care of the children and cook for anyone who said to do so. White women and men had no sympathy for their care takers, because in their eyes, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the children, was what they were only good for. Until meeting Skeeter and telling the truth about their everyday lives, did they start to act out against their bosses. In time, did these women find the courage to start saying “no” to whoever told them to do a chore. The strength they bottled up came out and although some women lost their jobs, they were no longer being treated different from everyone
