It is an experience from the moment you take your first breath to your last. People who think life is a race will usually try to make up a prize that could be won in life. It would make sense for the racers because without victory there is no point to run the race. That is the pain of the racer, for they keep training harder for a race they’ll never get to win. Treating life as a race makes the running seem like a waste of time, when in reality it is the only time anyone gets.
The runner’s world is tangible, for the runner is intoxicated by his own senses. The feeling of a racing heartbeat, heavy breaths, or aching legs, all of which are beyond pleasant to the runner. Even the feeling of running with rain on his skin, the wind through his hair, or the chill of winter, are all what makes life seem real.
