They agree with a Sociologist by the name of Arnold Rose. According to Rose’s theory on discrimination he believed in four different break downs on this topic. The first belief is by discriminating society is not living up to its full potential, but overlooking the best possible minds by discriminating. An example would be if a CEO wants new ideas about the latest trend, but the person that had the best credentials was of the Hispanic race the CEO rejects this perfect candidate losing a possible great leader. The second belief is by behaving in this manner it causes the targeted group or person to become aggravated and impacts poverty and crime. For instance a dark skinned Hispanic was rejected and they knew they met the criteria perfectly, after so many rejections because of discrimination they become aggressive, and turn to negative resources leading to crime. The third belief is more targeting what society should be doing, investing more time and money to defend its barriers to the full participation of all members. In other words, instead of being negative invest that time into being more constructive and making a positive change. Similar to discrimination, prejudice actually is what leads to discrimination. Prejudice is not an action, but a negative attitude towards and entire category of people. Not liking someone because of how they act is not being prejudiced. However, if you place them in a category based on their race or ethnicity that is being prejudice. The Conflict perspective believe that being prejudice can have serious negative consequences. Many companies that are prejudice towards one group will realize once that group begins working, just exactly how bad of an error they made by being prejudice.
