Q1. I keep my ear clean, but still I think I have some infection in my ear. Despite of keeping my ears clean, why is this infection caused?
A1. Our ears are divided in three different parts. The part of the ear that is visible to us as well as the canal that goes all the way to other parts of the ear is known as the external part. Next to the external part is the middle part which contains a group of small bones that do the job of amplifying the sound we hear.

A9. It is better to avoid dairy products while suffering from ear infection as it can increase the pain.

A10. 1. Avoid swimming while suffering from ear infection. 2. Even when you are not suffering from ear infection; make sure that you dry your ears properly after shower and swimming.
3. Avoid inserting anything in the ear for drying it. You can set the hair dryer at low temperature and dry the ears with it. However, make sure that you hold the hair drier at a considerable distance from the ear. Q11. Is it advisable to use ear buds, for removal of ear wax?
A11. Do not use ear buds to clean the wax from the ear on a daily basis. The wax gets eliminated naturally, and its presence is important for the overall health of the ear.

Q12. It’s been 3-4 days I can see no improvement in my son’s ear infection. What should I do now?
