The Prophetess, warrior, and a Queen of the Berbers and she was named Kahina. She was a very skillful woman who was capable of ruling a group of Berbers who would go out to fight the Arabs. She very successful the first time against the Arabs because they could not go up the Aure’s mountains and this was her advantage. The mountains were where she resided to fight but they did not return for five years and she tried to outsmart them by the burning of the earth to have them retreat but she had lost her support of the people who live near the oasis and desert. The Arabs who were not discouraged but raged forward later defeated her.
