The United States and various other countries throughout the world, are democracies. One of the advantages of this system of government is the right for citizens to vote on their leader. To select a leader to guide one’s country it is important to know what a good leader is. A good leader is a person that has the needed qualities to guide a group of people to a goal. In any goal a leader may by be guiding, a good leader needs to be resourceful, caring, persistent, and respectful. A good leader needs to be resourceful because it is a trait that is often accosted with problem solving. Usually, a leader will have to face at least one problem while leading. The problem may be caused for various different reasons, but never the else being resourceful can help solve the problem. In Britain many citizens honor and respect the royal family. Although their main government executive is a Prime Minister, it does not mean the Queen is not a significant leader. Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning monarch in British history and she is still going (author 1). One of her greatest qualities of a leader is her passion for her people and country. She has overseen around six hundred charities that help the public (author 3). Although she is in her nineties, she visits many of her charities’ headquarters and also schools to socialize with the young people in her country (author 2). She also host ceremonies to thank people in her nation, for what they have contributed to the commonwealth (author 5).
