The following question will look at the transmediated discourse of racist ideologies presented in the video game in question. This semester I have also been in a women’s studies class that looks at women’s agency in the Middle East, I even wrote a paper about female artist living in exile of Iran so I have become very sympathetic to the structure of women in the Middle East. In the class we discussed the messages of Islamic text and how they were very often misinterpreted to give men the larger end of the stick. However, there were a large number of cases where men protested with women to gain equal rights. After reading the article linked I have to say it was extremely upsetting. To me all of Jaroslaw Zieliniski “justifications” for creating this video game make him look like an absolute racist sociopath however, in this analysis I will try to address this more as rhetorical analyst. The game creator admits his xenophobic ideologies. In the following five or so pages I will analyze the discourse in the article written about the video game he created.

I would argue that anti cultural games like this create individuals who are quick to follow politicians rhetoric based solely on the perceived ethos that they create. The problem with this is that individuals no long follow politics for political process instead they do so simply because it appeals to their pathos. While we didn’t discuss Aristotle’s rhetorical proofs during the semester it is important to at least mention two of them because video games like IS not only present racism they also present a certain type of human ideology that appeals to hatred of an entire culture based only on past events. In the book Persuasive Games, Ian Bogost defines the term as, “hidden procedural systems that drive social, political, or cultural behaviors.”(Bogost, p. 72, 2010) Consequently is why the creator of the game is proud of what he
